Shehnai is listed among one of the top noted Indian musical instruments which have its origins dating back to days of kings and queens. Shehnai is categorized under Aerophonic instruments. The instrument is made up of wood with Metal Flare bell attached to it. It works in similar lines of flute, but herein it is held vertically. A metal pipe or Nalli is attached to the top of the Shehnai on which a reed is fixed through which the air is blown in the Instrument which produces the Sound. Levels of Learning
The learning of Shehnai is carried out on three levels. This includes Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The first level is that of beginners or basic. Here at this level, the students are rendered knowledge of history, origin, and etymology about the Instrument. The basics of Indian Classical Music, handling and playing of the instrument also start at this level. The second level will be intermediate where students are educated about the Ragas and to play simple tunes. At last which is the Advance level Student are taught about various aspects from learning the complex Ragas to Stage Presentation and many more. Students have to submit their work what they learnt and have to perform in front of Stalwarts which is recorded and sent to Government and non-government Institutes.
There are total of 120+ master classes with a duration spanning from 45 minutes to 1 hour which is divided into 3 parts having 40 classes for each Module. Students from the global level can connect to us through live videos and online on the internet.
